EP 112 - Wedding Photography & Creating On Youtube: A Chat with Magic

This week’s guest is someone I’ve been so excited to dive into: Magic. He’s a wildly talented wedding photographer and educator from Poland, a total personality, and someone who has filmed weddings all over the world. Magic has built a YouTube community of over 50,000 subscribers, hosted tons of photography events, and genuinely carved out such a unique corner of the industry. Today we’re getting into his approach to creativity, his “Enter the Dragon” branding philosophy, and what it was like shooting a $100 million wedding in India.

Meet Magic:

Magic is a destination wedding photographer with over 12 years of experience. He's built Magic Wedding Photographer, a YouTube channel with 45,000+ subscribers that educates professional wedding photographers through gear reviews, technical tutorials, and business strategy.A former Sony Ambassador for 7 years, Magic has evolved from high-volume wedding work to building a comprehensive photography education business. His "Enter the Dragon" philosophy teaches photographers to attract ideal clients through authentic self-expression rather than generic marketing.Based in Poland with his wife Zuzia and four children, Magic serves growing wedding photographers worldwide who want to book better clients, improve their craft, and build sustainable education-focused businesses.

“Enter the Dragon”: His Approach to Branding

Magic’s branding is honestly one of my favorite things about him. “Enter the Dragon” started as a playful button on his website and turned into a full-blown brand philosophy. He pulls in pieces of his personality, humor, and pop-culture references, and the result is this totally authentic brand that feels unmistakably him. That honesty attracts clients who already connect with who he is - which, as we all know, makes everything about the experience better.

High-Profile Weddings + Big Life Lessons

We obviously had to talk about his wildest wedding experience: the billion-dollar event in India where he was the sixth shooter on a team of hundreds. Jennifer Lopez performed, there were production crews everywhere - it was basically a movie set disguised as a wedding. But what I loved most was hearing how, even after something that massive, he still gravitates toward the intimate, personal, connected weddings. It was a reminder that scale doesn’t create meaning - people do.

The Educator Side of Magic

Magic is a teacher at heart. His mentorship program, “It’s a Kind of Magic,” mixes group and 1:1 coaching, all centered on practical skills and real world experience. He’s big on community, big on sharing, big on helping others level up. It’s very aligned with how I see education too: real conversations, real connection, real growth.

Magic on YouTube: Creativity + Honest Insight

His YouTube channel is a mix of gear talk, honest reviews, and creative challenges - including his “Five Minute Challenge” series, where he brings on different photographers and has them shoot the same scenario in their own style. It’s such a cool way to show how differently we all see the world. He’s also incredibly transparent in his reviews and really values the trust of his audience, which is something I love about him.

Wrapping Up

Magic is such a great example of what happens when you build a brand around who you really are. He blends creativity, education, and personality in a way that’s honestly refreshing. If you’re looking for inspiration, new ideas, or just someone who’s genuinely fun to learn from - Magic’s world is worth diving into.
