Hi everyone! Today on the podcast, I’m chatting with the incredibly talented Laney Becker—a photographer who brings pure movie magic to her work. Her style is bold, nostalgic, and honestly, just makes you feel something. Definitely go check out her work.
“How did you get into this kind of cinematic world?”
Laney shared how her love for movies sparked her obsession with storytelling from a young age. That early inspiration turned into a photography style that’s anything but traditional. She’s not just snapping cute couple photos—she’s building scenes that feel like stills from a film.
“Where do you pull inspiration for your shoots?”
So much of Laney’s inspiration comes from everyday life. She’s constantly building little movies in her head—and music plays a big role in that. Sometimes it starts with a song, and she builds a whole visual world around it. Her creativity is honestly contagious.
“How has free work changed your life and career?”
We got real about the value of shooting for fun. Some of Laney’s most recognizable and personal work came from shoots she did for free. She’s big on creating just for the sake of it—no pressure, no expectations, just letting herself explore and experiment. And it shows.
