EP 83 - My Inside Scoop on HoneyBook's New AI Features

In this episode, I’m diving into some super helpful new HoneyBook features that have been leveling up my client workflow.

We’re talking all things AI — especially HoneyBook’s new AI Note Taker (aka my favorite new assistant). It quietly joins your calls, takes notes for you, and sends everything straight to your dashboard. No more multitasking or forgetting what someone said two weeks ago.

I’ll walk you through exactly how I’ve been using it — plus a few other smart tools — to save time, stay organized, and be way more present during client calls.

A Quick Life Check-In

Before we get into the tech stuff — some life updates. I just wrapped a dreamy engagement session at Greystone Mansion (one of my favorite spots in LA). I’ll be heading down South tomorrow for a family matter, and it’s also my very first Mother’s Day — wild! With a baby and so much going on, let’s just say I’ve never been more thankful for systems that actually make my life easier. HoneyBook has seriously kept my business running behind the scenes so I can actually be present in all the other areas of my life.

Wait, What Is HoneyBook?

If you’re new around here: HoneyBook is a client management system built for creatives. Think contracts, invoices, payments, inquiries, timelines — all in one place. It even talks to QuickBooks. I’ve been using it since I was 19, and I’ve never looked back. It’s like the control center for everything behind the scenes in my biz.

The AI Notetaker I Didn’t Know I Needed

I’ll admit, when I first heard about the AI Notetaker, I was skeptical. I thought it would feel clunky or get in the way. But once I actually gave it a try… I was sold. It’s like having a quiet assistant sit in on my Zoom meetings, take detailed notes, and send them to me after — so I can stay focused, actually listen, and not scramble to write stuff down mid-call.

Here’s how I use it:

* Clients inquire through the HoneyBook form on my site

* I book meetings via the HoneyBook calendar (linked with Zoom)

* Before the meeting, I get a quick summary of who I’m talking to and what we’ve discussed

* During the call, the AI Note Taker joins and transcribes it all without interrupting

* After, I get a summary and full notes sent straight to my inbox — no scrambling, no forgetting what they said 3 weeks later

It’s been a game-changer.

The Built-In AI Assistant (aka ChatGPT, but for Your Biz)

HoneyBook also has a built-in AI assistant that’s kind of like ChatGPT — but smarter, because it knows your business. You can ask it things like “What was my most popular service last year?” or have it help you draft a follow-up email. It’s still something I’m exploring, but even with light use, it’s already making things easier.

Why I’m So Into This

You know I’m big on sustainability — not just for the planet, but for our energy and mental bandwidth. Tools like this help me work smarter, not harder. They make client experience better, keep me organized, and most importantly, free up *space* so I can actually be creative (and present in life).
